Quick Project Steps

It’s always exciting to find new uses for your beads. You’ll love the light, airy look of the halo beads on this colorful gemstone Improv Halo necklace. 1. Cut a length of Dragoncord that is 3 times the length of the necklace. Using a big eye needle, pick up a gemstone to use as a stop bead, go through the bead a couple times to secure. Add on a seed bead. Thread through one side of a halo bead, add 4 seed beads and go out the other side of the halo bead. 2. Watch the Improv Halo necklace to see how to complete the pattern of the single strand necklace. 3. After making the strand long enough to fit over your head, take each end and knot together. Pull the knot down in between the beads and tie again. Trim the ends off with a thread zap. The seed beads in the Improv Halo necklace give the illusion of being knotted without having to tie all those knots, making it a quick project to complete. Have fun picking out your favorite colors and patterns to make this your go to accessory. Technique learned:
