Winter Blues Pendant Tutorial

The Winter Blues Pendant was designed especially for subscribers to December's Best Bead Box and Best Bead Box XL by Anna Tonnesen, the curator of the boxes. This simple, yet beautiful beaded pendant uses RounDuo® Mini Beads to create a netting with Miyuki Seed Beads. Make it as shown as a pendant, or change it up, add ear wires and you have a pair of earrings. Pop a 14mm Rivoli in the center and you have completely changed the look! Grab your supplies and start off with a right-angle weave stitch. Technique Learned: Right Angle Weave

    Start with a Two-Needle Right Angle Weave Stitch: Using RounDuo® Mini Beads, begin the base of the pendant with a two-needle right angle weave stitch.
    Add Embellishments: Incorporate Miyuki Seed Beads between the RounDuo® Minis to create a detailed netting around the pendant.
    Complete the Circle: Join the ends of your beadwork to form a complete circle, preparing it for the outer embellishments.
    Outer Embellishments: Add additional seed beads around the outer edge of the pendant for a decorative finish.
    Create a Bail: Use seed beads to create a simple loop at the top of the pendant for hanging.
    Final Touches: Secure the thread ends and trim any excess to complete your Winter Blues Pendant.

    I love everything about Potomac beads, except for the dragon fire white thread. I bought the time before it was a 250 spool and I bought 5 pound because the 6 pound I had was just humongous you've done some changing with your threads since the last time I bought some. I fell and broke my right arm and my rotator cuff and wasn't able to be for quite a while. I just pulled out the 5 pound white thread. I bought the time before and tried it. I don't even think I could bezel with it. The 6 pound does beautiful. I took one arm span of thread off the spool and I won't be using it. It's a shame because I truly love yours thread.
