    Quick Project Steps

Prep thread: Cut ~4–5 ft thread, knot or add a stop bead near one end so beads won’t slide. String top row (RounTrio foundation): String a RounTrio, add 8/0s as spacers, next RounTrio, continue until you have the number needed for your neckline. Example: 9 RounTrios ≈ collar / 16–18 in including chain; adjust to taste. Work the middle (second-hole) row: Using the RounTrio middle hole, pick up 11/0 → small crystal/rondelle → 11/0 between each RounTrio so a second tier forms under the top row. Pull snug so the row drapes slightly below the top row. Build the lowest drape (third-hole row): From the RounTrio third hole, add a longer string: 8/0s + crystal + 8/0s to create a deeper drape. This becomes the row that will anchor the leaf fringe. Position the first leaf fringe: Exit the bead where you want the first leaf. Pick up: 8/0 → crystal → 11/0 → Czech leaf → 11/0 → crystal → 8/0 and sew back into the main drape bead to lock the leaf. Pull to set the leaf so it hangs naturally. Repeat fringe across the row: Continue adding leaf units between every 1–2 RounTrios (or at chosen intervals) to create a falling pattern — vary lengths slightly for a natural look (e.g., alternate one long leaf, one short leaf). Make the necklace cords: From each outer RounTrio, string matching double-strand cords of alternating 8/0 + small crystals to the clasp area. Make both sides mirror each other for balanced drape. Attach cup-button clasp / loop: At one cord end build a seed-bead loop sized to your cup button (string 10–30 × 11/0 depending on button). At the other end, reinforce with several passes through the beads and a small wire guard or the button base; reinforce with 2–3 extra passes. Reinforce all joins: Sew back through key connection points (RounTrios, leaf anchors, clasp area) at least once to strengthen the piece. Pay attention to any single-pass beads and add an extra pass. Finish & trim: Bury the thread by weaving into nearby bead bridges, tie a small weaver’s knot if desired, trim and zap (or seal) tails. Check that leaves hang freely and cords sit symmetrically.
