    Quick Project Steps

Start the peyote base Thread your needle and string 4 × 11/0. Drop them down, pick up a 5th 11/0 and skip bead #4, sew into bead #3. Continue the even-count peyote (add bead → skip → sew) — Ally adds two beads per little pass so it builds fast. Build the lower strip Keep working peyote until the strip will wrap around your cosmic ring. Ally uses 18 rows for the bottom band (count rows carefully); stop when the strip comfortably folds around the ring. Zip the edges onto the ring Fold the strip over the ring so the two edges meet. Seam them by stitching alternating beads from one edge into the opposite edge like a zipper (second bead → second bead, third → third, etc.). Pull snug so the tube hugs the ring. Secure and shape the join Sew a few angled passes through the seam to flatten and stabilize the tube and make the seam disappear. Add dagger fringe at the bottom Exit an outer bead at the bottom, add 15/0 → dagger → dagger → dagger → 15/0 (or 3 daggers total as shown), then sew into the bead across (usually back one row) to anchor the daggers along the bottom edge. Between daggers add 15/0–bicone–15/0 as a center accent if desired. Bring thread ends together & tie Thread back through the work until both working ends meet in the same spot; tie off securely and trim/zap the tails. Make the top peyote strip (two-bead wide) For the top loop create a 2-bead wide peyote strip: start with 2 beads, add a bead on the opposite side, reverse and sew back through to create a slim peyote band. Make the same number of loops/rows as the bottom’s circumference so the two ends align. Join top strip to the ring Seam the top strip to the ring exactly like the bottom (zip the edges together so beads that stick out match). Add a 15/0–bicone–wire guard assembly at the top to form the hanging/ear-wire point. Seat the wire guard & finish Pinch the wire guard slightly so it nests, pass your thread up/down through the guard and the crystal, tighten, then sew into opposite top beads to anchor. Bring thread ends into position, tie, hide, and trim/burn. Attach ear wire Open ear wire sideways, slide onto the wire guard, close, and check balance.
