    Quick Project Steps

Add a Stop Bead: Begin with a stop bead to secure the thread while working. Anchor the Chaton: Use a diagonal stitch path to create an “X” that holds the chaton in place within the setting. Add RounDuos and 8/0 Beads: Stitch around the chaton using RounDuos with 8/0 seed beads in between each one. Embellish Between RounDuos: Fill the gaps with a 15/0 – 8/0 – 15/0 bead pattern between the RounDuos. Second Hole Connection: Pass through the second holes of the RounDuos and continue to reinforce the frame. Optional: Add a Bottom Drop: If desired, add a hanging bead or dangle at the base for extra flair. Add Top Detail: Stitch up and embellish the top with additional seed beads to complete the shape. Attach Wire Guard: Loop a wire guard at the top, going through seed beads to reinforce the thread path. Secure and Finish: Tie off the thread, melt the ends with a thread burner, and attach the ear wire to complete your earring.
