    Quick Project Steps

Cut the Frame Wire: Cut two equal lengths of 18-gauge wire (~2.5–3 inches each). Use a ruler to ensure both wires are the same size. Shape the Frame: Use round nose pliers to bend each wire into a soft teardrop shape. Keep both frames as symmetrical as possible. Hammer the Frame: Place each wire shape on a steel block. Use a chasing hammer or mallet to lightly flatten and harden the shape. This adds texture and structure to the frame. Match & Trim: Lay both frames side by side. Trim ends or tweak curves to make sure the shapes are identical. Plan Bead Gradient: Arrange your blue agate beads from darkest to lightest (or vice versa). Lay them in order so you're ready to wrap. Start Wire Wrapping: Cut a ~2 ft length of 26-gauge wire. Attach it to the bottom of the frame with a few tight wraps. Begin adding beads: Slide 1 bead onto the wire. Wrap the wire twice around the frame to hold it in place. Repeat with the next bead, working your way up. Finish the Wrap: When all beads are added: Do 3–4 tight wraps at the top of the frame. Trim the wire and tuck the end with pliers. Create Ear Wires: Cut 2 × 2-inch pieces of 18-gauge wire. Use round nose pliers to make a small loop at one end of each. Wrap the wire around a mandrel or pen to form an ear wire curve. Trim and smooth the end with a file if needed. Attach Ear Wires: Open the loop at the top of the earring frame. Slip on the ear wire loop and close securely.
