    Quick Project Steps

Prep discs & cord: Remove protective paper from discs. Cut cord ~20–24". Melt/taper one end slightly (carefully) so it feeds through holes easier. Thread the trunk bead: Thread both cord ends through the largest wood bead (trunk base) and slide it to the bottom — it’ll act as the anchor. Stack discs largest → smallest: With both cord ends, feed through each disc’s center hole, stacking from largest to smallest. Add small wood spacer beads between layers if you want separation or color breaks. Add seed-bead spacers (optional): Between some discs, add 2–4 seed beads on both cords to create airy spacing or color bands. Center & balance as you stack: Periodically push the stack down and check that pieces sit centered on the trunk bead; nudge any off-center discs so the tree remains straight. Attach the star/topper: Thread the acrylic star (or topper) onto one cord or both as the last/top piece. Position it snugly above the final small disc. Make the hanger loop: With the two working cords above the star, tie an overhand knot (or a loop) close beneath the star to secure it. Leave a short tail, then form a hanging loop with extra cord or add a jump ring/ornament hook. Secure & finish: Trim the excess cord above the knot to ~3–5 mm. Carefully melt the tip and press flat with pliers (or use a dab of clear glue) to stop fraying. Final adjustments: Straighten the stack, adjust spacing, and test the hanger loop strength. Add a dab of glue under the star or one spacer if you want extra permanence.
