Quarter Cushion Earrings Tutorial

The Quarter Cushion Earrings tutorial teaches how to create elegant crystal-centered earrings featuring a 12mm cushion stone surrounded by intricate beadwork using quarter Tila beads, 11/0 seed beads, and 15/0 seed beads. The project begins by forming a circular base with eight quarter Tilas connected by alternating groups of 11/0 and 15/0 seed beads. The tutorial then demonstrates how to create delicate clover-like corners around the crystal setting, securely insert the cushion stone, and reinforce the bezel by stitching multiple passes through the beadwork. Finally, a wire guard is attached for durability and the earring is completed with the ear wire of your choice. The design can also be adapted for larger cushion stones by adjusting the number of quarter Tilas and seed beads, making this a versatile and highly customizable statement earring project.

Build the Back Sections Add a 15/0 → 11/0 → 15/0 “appendage” on the back side of each 15/0 section. Create the Front Sections Add layered rows of 15/0 seed beads in a triangular shape on the front side. Add Decorative 15/0s Stitch extra 15/0 seed beads between the rows of 11/0s for additional detail. Form the Clover Corners Use groups of 11/0 seed beads to create rounded clover-like corners around the center opening. Insert the Cushion Stone Place the 12mm cushion crystal into the center, positioning the corners between the clovers.
