"Sort Beads and Materials:
Pour your Delica beads into tray sections labeled A, B, C, and D matching the color key on your pattern. Thread your needle with approximately 5 feet of thread.
Add a Stop Bead:
Pick up a non-Delica bead, leave a tail for finishing, and pass through the bead twice so it holds firm without tying a knot.
Load Base Beads (Rows 1 & 2):
String the combined bead sequence for Rows 1 and 2 according to your word chart (e.g., 1 C, 2 D, 3 A, 2 D, 2 C) and drop them down to the stop bead.
Stitch Row 3:
Pick up the first bead for Row 3, skip the last bead on your base string, and pass your needle back through the next bead toward the stop bead. Continue picking up one bead, skipping one bead, and passing through the next across the entire width.
Build Pattern Rows:
Turn around at the end of each row, sewing through the raised (""up"") beads. Follow your pattern chart or watch for the color rule where each color section stays two beads high before shifting.
Add New Thread:
When running low on thread, weave a new piece diagonally through adjacent beads, reversing direction two to three times to lock it into the weave without using bulky knots.
Attach the Tube Clasp:
Position the multi-strand tube clasp along the end of the band. Sew through the edge bead, pass through the clasp loop, and sew into the adjacent row, treating it like sewing on a button, across all three loops.
Reinforce and Trim:
Pass through the clasp loops a second time for strength, weave your remaining thread into the beadwork to lock it, slide off the stop bead to attach the second clasp half, and singe all thread tails. "
