The Colonial Crystal Bracelet tutorial teaches how to create an elegant woven bracelet using a two-needle technique with 4mm bicones, 2–3mm bicones, 6mm pearls, 8/0 seed beads, and 11/0 seed beads. Throughout the tutorial, viewers learn how to manage two needles simultaneously, maintain even thread tension, and distinguish between thread paths that crisscross through a single bicone versus an 8/0 seed bead and pearl combination. Once the bracelet reaches the desired length, the opposite side of the clasp is attached and reinforced with multiple thread passes to ensure long-lasting durability. Decorative embellishments are then added by weaving rows of 3mm bicones between the 8/0 seed beads and additional 4mm bicones alongside the existing crystals, giving the bracelet extra sparkle and dimension. The tutorial concludes by demonstrating how to add new thread when needed, glue a cushion crystal into the clasp, secure and trim the thread, and complete a sophisticated bracelet that can be customized with a variety of crystal colors, pearl finishes, and embellishment levels.

    Quick Project Steps

Attach the First Clasp Half Begin with a length of thread fitted with a needle on each end, attach the tongue side of the cushion push clasp, and add the first 8/0 seed beads. Create the First Bracelet Unit Add 11/0 seed beads, 8/0 seed beads, a 4mm bicone, and a 6mm pearl, crisscrossing both needles through the appropriate beads to form the first woven component. Build the Bracelet Base Repeat the bead sequence, alternating crisscross connections through the bicones and pearl sections until the bracelet reaches the desired length. Attach the Second Clasp Half Secure the opposite side of the cushion push clasp by passing both needles through the clasp loop and reinforcing the connection with multiple thread passes. Position the Threads for Embellishment Weave both threads back through the bracelet until they are in position to begin adding the decorative crystal accents. Add the Crystal Embellishments Stitch 3mm bicones between the 8/0 seed beads and add 4mm bicones alongside the existing crystals to enhance the bracelet with additional sparkle. Add the Optional Seed Bead Border Weave rows of 11/0 seed beads along both outer edges of the bracelet to frame the crystals and create a fuller, more decorative finish. Add New Thread if Needed If you run out of thread, tie off within the beadwork and begin a new thread in the middle of the design before continuing the embellishments. Glue the Cushion Crystal into the Clasp Apply adhesive to the clasp setting, insert the cushion crystal, and allow it to set while reinforcing the clasp area if desired. Finish the Bracelet Tie secure finishing knots, weave the thread ends through the beadwork, trim or burn the excess thread, and enjoy your completed Colonial Crystal Bracelet.
