Dropping Pies Bracelet Tutorial

The Dropping Pies Bracelet tutorial shows how to make a flexible, decorative bracelet using PieDuo beads, crystals, drop beads, and seed beads with a two-needle crisscross stitch. The design is built directly from the cup button clasp, forming repeating units that flow forward without needing to backtrack, helping maintain even tension and a smooth drape. Viewers learn how bead orientation affects the curve of the bracelet, how to add the drop and crystal embellishments for movement, and how to size and finish the bracelet with a secure button loop.

    Quick Project Steps

Attach to clasp: Start by stitching directly onto the cup button using two needles, creating the first anchor loop with seed beads. Add first PieDuo unit: On each needle, add seed beads and a PieDuo, then cross through a center crystal to lock the unit in place. Build repeating sections: Continue forward by adding seed beads, PieDuos, and crossing through the next crystal to form each bracelet segment. Orient PieDuos correctly: Make sure the PieDuos face the same direction so the bracelet curves smoothly and lays flat. Add drop embellishments: Pick up drop beads between units to create dangling movement along the edges. Maintain tension: Pull both needles evenly after each cross to keep the structure firm but flexible. Repeat to length: Continue adding units until the bracelet fits your wrist. Create button loop: Finish by forming a seed-bead loop that fits over the cup button. Reinforce thread path: Sew back through several units to strengthen the structure and secure embellishments. Tie off and trim: Knot between beads, trim thread, and check that all drops and crystals are secure.
