Two Moons Bracelet Tutorial

The Two Moons Bracelet tutorial teaches you how to stitch a flexible, repeating bracelet component using RounTrios, StormDuos, seed beads, and crystals along a one-needle thread path. The instructor demonstrates how each component builds the next so instead of returning through the bracelet, you continuously advance forward, creating a clean flow and consistent tension. By the end, you’ll have a soft, flexible, beautifully layered bracelet that drapes comfortably and can also be modified into earrings, rings, or pendants

    Quick Project Steps

Prep & thread: Cut ~4–6 ft thread. Thread needle and leave a 6–8" tail (you’ll bury this later). Optionally make a small stop loop on the tail. Make the starter unit: String the first mini unit: 11/0 → RoundTrio → 11/0 → 4mm bead → 11/0. Seat beads so the RoundTrio sits centered and stable. Sew back through those first beads to lock the unit. Add the first StormDuo connector: Exit an outer 11/0, pick up 11/0 → StormDuo → 11/0 and sew into the opposite 11/0 of the starter unit so the StormDuo sits alongside the RoundTrio. Pull snug so pieces nest neatly. Create the repeating module: Repeat the sequence to form each repeating unit: 11/0 → RoundTrio → 11/0 → 4mm/crystal → 11/0 → 11/0 → StormDuo → 11/0. Each module should link into the previous module’s outer beads so the band advances in one continuous thread path. Keep orientation consistent: Make sure each StormDuo and RoundTrio are oriented the same way throughout so the bracelet lies flat and the pattern reads uniformly. Add delicate edging (optional): For a lacey edge, exit an outer 11/0 and add 15/0 → 11/0 → 15/0 (or small picots) between modules along both sides. This tightens gaps and adds a neat finish. Work to length: Continue repeating modules, checking fit on your wrist or a mandrel. Stop when you reach target length minus clasp allowance (≈½"–¾"). Build the clasp loop: On one end, make a beaded loop sized to your cup button or clasp: string 10–14 × 11/0 (adjust to fit your clasp), form a loop, pass back through the base beads to anchor and tighten. Test the button fit. Attach clasp / wire guard on opposite end: On the other end exit a sturdy bead, add 11/0 → wire guard (or jump ring) → 11/0, then sew back through adjacent beads and the guard. Make 2–3 passes through the guard for strength. Reinforce the whole piece: Run 2–3 reinforcement passes following the main thread path (through RoundTrios, StormDuos, center beads and clasp area). Keep tension even — snug but not crushing. Tie off & bury tails: Weave the working thread through 4–6 bead bridges, make a small weaver’s knot or two if you like, trim close and melt/zap (if using synthetic thread). Bury the starting tail the same way. Final check & finish: Try the bracelet on, check symmetry and bead alignment. If any modules sit rotated or loose, do a light tightening pass. Add any final 15/0 trims or tiny filler beads where needed.
