The Jolee Bracelet tutorial teaches how to create an elegant, reversible bracelet using RounDuos, SuperDuos, and 15/0 & 11/0 seed beads along a single-needle thread path. The video begins with a simple crystal-linked center unit, then shows how to build repeated RounDuo sections that are framed with seed bead bezels. Next, the tutorial demonstrates how to attach SuperDuos along both sides to create a softly scalloped edge and reinforce the bracelet’s flexibility. Finally, the tutorial shows how to attach a clasp, reinforce the entire path, and test flexibility so the bracelet lies flat but still moves comfortably on the wrist.

    Quick Project Steps

Prep thread: Cut ~4–5 ft thread. Thread needle and leave a 6–8" tail (or create a small stop loop you’ll weave in later). Make the starter module (first RounDuo unit): String: 11/0 → RounDuo → 11/0 → crystal (or 11/0) → 11/0 as the core unit per the video. Seat the beads so the RounDuo sits centered. Sew back through the first 11/0 to stabilize. Add the first SuperDuo connector: Exit the outer 11/0, pick up 11/0 → SuperDuo → 11/0 and sew into the adjacent outer 11/0 of the RounDuo unit so the SuperDuo links alongside the RounDuo. Pull snug so units sit flush. Build the repeating sequence: Repeat: 11/0 → RounDuo → 11/0 → (center spacer) → 11/0 → SuperDuo → 11/0 — adding a RounDuo then linking a SuperDuo to the previous unit. Keep the same thread path and bead counts for each repeat so the band remains even. Check length frequently: Wrap the developing bracelet around your wrist or mandrel as you go. Adjust unit count to reach target length minus clasp allowance. Bezel / edge finish (optional): Exit an outer 11/0 and add 15/0s around the RounDuo edges if you want a fine bezel. Typical pass: 15/0 → 11/0 → 15/0 around the face of each RounDuo to tidy edges. Form clasp loop (bead loop): When at desired length, build a beaded loop sized to your clasp (e.g., 10–14 × 11/0). Pass back through adjacent beads to anchor and test the fit over the clasp. Attach clasp & wire guard: On the opposite end, exit a sturdy 11/0, add a wire guard or jump ring with a short 11/0 spacer string: 11/0 → wire guard/jump ring → 11/0, then pass back through adjacent beads and the guard. Make 2–3 passes through the guard for strength. Reinforce the bracelet: Run 2–3 reinforcement passes following the main thread path — through the RounDuos, SuperDuos, clasp loop, and several connecting 11/0s. Keep tension even (snug but not crushing). Tie off & bury tails: Weave the working thread back through 4–6 beads, make a small weaver’s knot if desired, trim close and zap/melt (if synthetic). Weave the starting tail into the beadwork the same way. Final checks: Close the clasp, check that RounDuos sit evenly and SuperDuos lie flat, and tweak any rotated beads with a light pass. Enjoy!
