    Quick Project Steps

Cut Your Cord: Cut 9–10 strands of cord, each 20 inches long. Tie Starter Knots: About 5–6 inches from one end of each cord, tie a simple overhand knot. String & Knot Beads: Burn cord ends for easier beading. Add a bead, then tie a knot to secure it close. Repeat this pattern until you have ~6 inches of knotted beads per strand. Group and Knot All Strands Together: Align strands so the beaded sections cluster in the center. Tie all strands together in a single overhand knot on both ends. Trim & Burn Short Strands: Keep only 3 long strands per side. Cut the others near the knot, leaving a ¼ inch tail, and burn to seal. Create the Sliding Closure (Slip Knot): Cross the remaining cords to form a loop. Use a 12–15 inch piece of cord to tie a macramé square knot section (about 1 inch long). Alternate sides (Snoopy’s nose technique) to avoid twisting. Seal the Closure Cord: Use a thread burner to melt and press down the closure ends, avoiding the base cords to keep the knot functional. Adjust & Add End Beads: Slide the closure open wide enough to fit over your wrist. Add beads or charms to each cord end and secure with a double knot. Final Burn & Wear: Burn the end tips to create a small bead-stopping "bald" end. Slide on, pull to tighten, and enjoy your summer-ready bracelet!
