Peyote Twisted Rope Tutorial

In this video tutorial from Potomac Bead Company, Allie does another tutorial teaching the basics of Peyote Stitch. Peyote stitch is one of the most essential beading/jewelry-making stitches used in many different forms. Peyote can be made with a variety of different beads including any style of seed beads, and most styles of Czech beads, 2-hole beads, and more. Quick Project Steps

Gather your materials, focusing on Miyuki 11/0 and 15/0 seed beads in various colors.
Thread your needle with approximately 5 feet of Wildfire beading thread.
Begin the Peyote stitch by adding a stop bead, leaving a 3-inch tail.
Start creating a circle by threading two 11/0 beads followed by two 15/0 beads in your chosen color pattern.
Continue the tubular Peyote stitch, adding beads in a spiral pattern to create a twisting effect.
Adjust the bead sizes and colors as desired to enhance the spiral effect and add visual interest.
To finish the bracelet, weave the ends together to create a seamless join. Optionally, add a clasp if not making a bangle.
Trim and secure the thread ends.
