Compass Pendant Tutorial

You can wander, but you'll never be lost so long as you have a Compass Pendant. The direction of true North will always prevail as you string together DropDuos to show the way. Other materials necessary to complete your directive jewelry piece are the new QuadBow beads, Toho Seed Beads, and a Potomac Crystal Rivoli at the heart of it all. Gather all your materials to begin exploring the boundaries of where your beading capabilities can take you!!

  • QuadBow Beads - Metallic Aqua, 4 beads
  • Potomac Crystal Rivoli 14mm - Black Diamond Opal, 1 Piece
  • DropDuo - Aztec Gold, 20 Beads
  • Toho Seed Beads 15/0 - Gold Lined Crystal AB, ~ 2 Grams

    Prepare Materials: Gather all materials listed above. String DropDuos: String eight DropDuo beads, alternating with three 15/0 Toho Seed Beads between each. Form the Base: Round out the string of beads to form the base, stepping up to the second hole of the DropDuos. Add Second Row: Add another row of DropDuo beads for added structure. Create Rivoli Bezel: Use seed beads to create a bezel for the Rivoli, securing it at the center. Incorporate QuadBow Beads: Add QuadBow beads around the outside for decorative flair. Embellish with Seed Beads: Decorate the outer edge with Toho seed beads for a finished look. Construct the Bail: Start the bail with a ladder stitch and attach it to complete the pendant.
