    Quick Project Steps

Construct the Base Ring String a alternating pattern of one Round Duo bead and a grouping of five 11/0 seed beads until you have a total of seven Round Duos. Tie the ends into a secure knot and pass your needle through the first hole of the nearest Round Duo. Step Up to the Outer Row Pass your needle into the second (outer) hole of the same Round Duo bead, reversing your direction to begin the next row. Add the First Crystal Netting Layer String two 11/0 seed beads, one 4mm bicone crystal, and two 11/0 seed beads. Pass through the second hole of the next Round Duo in line. Repeat this pattern all the way around, then exit through the very first bicone crystal added to complete the ring. Build the Back Netting Wall String two 11/0 seed beads, a new Round Duo bead, and two 11/0 seed beads. Pass through the next shared bicone crystal from the previous row. Repeat this seven times to create a secondary wall of beads that pulls toward the back. Step up by passing into the outer hole of the newly added Round Duos. Encase the Cabochon Place your 24mm or 25mm Luna Soft cabochon into the center of the bezel framework. String three 11/0 seed beads between each of the outer holes of the back Round Duos. Pull the thread firmly to cinch the bezel tightly around the cabochon. Pass through this entire tightening loop a second time to lock in the tension. Add the Optional Decorative Front Border Weave your thread back to the front of the piece, exiting out of one of the front bicone crystals. Add another decorative layer around the frame by stringing two seed beads, a 4mm bicone, and two seed beads between each of the existing bicones. Stitch the Bail Exiting a central front bicone, pick up four 11/0 seed beads and loop back through the opposite side of the same bicone. Use a ladder stitch to build approximately 10 rows of four-bead wide sections. Loop the top of the bail down and securely anchor it into the three-bead grouping on the back netting layer. Reinforce by weaving through the bail rows a second time. Secure and Finish Snake your thread back down to the front where your original starter tail is waiting. Tie the thread ends together using a secure knot (right over left, left over right). Pull the knot inside the hole of a neighboring Round Duo to hide it, trim the excess thread, and seal the edges cleanly with a thread burner.
