    Quick Project Steps

Gather Materials: Prepare 24- or 26-gauge wire, assorted beads and crystals, round-nose pliers, bent chain-nose pliers, and wire cutters. Cut the Wire: Cut approximately 8 inches of wire to create a manageable section for your links. Create the First Loop: Use round-nose pliers to bend the wire at 90 degrees, form a loop, and wrap the wire around its base three times. Add a Bead: Slide a bead onto the wire, leaving enough space above it to form another loop. Form the Second Loop: Bend the wire at 90 degrees, shape a loop with the round-nose pliers, and wrap the wire around the base three times. Wrap the Bead: Coil the remaining wire around the bead and its base to create a decorative finish. Trim the excess wire and tuck down any sharp ends. Connect the Links: Before completing the second loop of each new bead link, connect it to the previous link. Repeat the process, mixing bead colors, crystals, and pearls as desired. Build the Necklace: Continue creating and connecting links until you reach your desired length. Cut another 8-inch section of wire whenever needed. Create the Hook Closure: Shape a short section of wire into a hook, wrapping it securely around a bead at one end of the necklace. Make the Matching Loop: At the opposite end, form a reinforced loop large enough to fit over the hook. Wrap the wire securely around the bead and trim the excess. Finish and Secure: Check every link, pinch down loose coils, and tuck away exposed wire ends to help prevent snagging.
