The Athenacast Chandelier Earrings tutorial demonstrates how to transform decorative chandelier components, colorful glass drops, and metallic spacer beads into elegant statement earrings. Using 6 × 8 mm Fire Swirl drops, silver-tone spacers, headpins, and basic jewelry-making pliers, the design features seven matching dangles arranged around each chandelier, plus an additional central dangle for extra length and visual interest. The tutorial teaches how to position beads consistently, create simple loops with round-nose pliers, trim excess wire, and attach each dangle securely to the chandelier links. Viewers also learn how to align the components evenly, position the center dangle, and attach the finished chandeliers to ear wires while ensuring the earrings face forward. With suggestions for alternative spacer styles, different beads, and thread-and-needle techniques, the tutorial encourages makers to experiment with colors, shapes, and metal finishes to create personalized chandelier earrings.

    Quick Project Steps

Prepare the Materials: Gather Athenacast chandelier components, 6 × 8 mm Fire Swirl drop beads, silver-tone spacer beads, 21-gauge headpins, ear wires, round-nose pliers, needle-nose pliers, and wire cutters. Arrange the Beads: Add a spacer bead to the bottom of each headpin, followed by a Fire Swirl drop and a spacer at the top. Keep the arrangement consistent. Prepare Seven Dangles: Make seven matching beaded headpins for each earring, ensuring the beads are small enough to hang freely without overlapping. Create the Center Dangle: Prepare one additional headpin without the top and bottom spacers so it can fit neatly into the center of the chandelier. Bend the Wire: Using your pliers, bend each headpin just above the bead, leaving a small amount of space to form a loop. Form the Loops: Use round-nose pliers to create small, even loops large enough to fit through the chandelier links. Trim Excess Wire: Cut the extra wire near the point where the loop overlaps, leaving a clean finish. Attach the Dangles: Open each loop sideways with needle-nose pliers, attach it to a chandelier link, and close it securely. Position slightly longer dangles toward the bottom if needed. Attach the Center Dangle: Connect the additional beaded headpin to the top-center link of the chandelier, adjusting the loop as necessary to fit. Add the Ear Wires: Attach each completed chandelier to an ear wire, making sure the decorative front faces forward. Add rubber stopper backs for extra security if needed.
