Quick Project Steps

Watch this PotomacBeads tutorial to see how you can use some of your 2-holed beads to create the Talavera Earrings. Piece together different shapes and multi holed beads of your choice for these Mexican tile style earrings. 1. Using a size 11 needle on size 6 Dragonthread, pick up four seed beads and go through one hole of the PieDuo. Add on one 15/0, an 8/0, and another 15/0 and go back down the second hole. Put on three more seed beads and pick up the RounDuo mini. Add on the 15/0, 8/0, and 15/0 and go back down the second hole. Repeat with the third bead. 2. Watch the Talavera Earrings tutorial with Allie to follow along to create these fun, artsy beaded earrings. 3. Bring the thread to the top of the project. Put on a wire guard. Reinforce by threading through it a couple more times. Get the two thread ends together at the same spot and tie them. Burn the loose ends. Add on the ear wires. Have fun mixing and matching various beads for unique and interesting looks. These Talavera Earrings are so easy to make and are a great way to rediscover some of your different shaped beads.
