Quick Project Steps

Show off a beautiful Potomac crystal oval in the Crystal Storm pendant. Learn how to use a circular netting technique to create a bezel with seed beads in this PotomacBeads tutorial. Using a size 12 needle on about 5.5 feet of .006 thread, add 7 11/0s followed by 2 stormduo beads, another 11/0, and 2 more stormduos. Repeat the pattern, thread through all the beads a second time and tie a knot. Sew up through the first 4 seed beads, add an 11/0, an 8/0 and another 11/0. Bring the needle through the second hole of the next stormduo. Repeat the pattern of seed beads in between each stormduo in the loop. Watch the Crystal Storm pendant tutorial to see how Tracy creates a bezel for the Potomac crystal with a circular netting technique. Re-thread through the seed beads around the edge of the pendant and the bail at the top to reinforce. Bring the thread to the back of the project and tie off. Trim the excess thread. Practice your bead weaving skills to complete this beautiful glittering Crystal Storm pendant. Try making one in each of the designer’s suggested colorways to have two different looks.
