  • Christmas Ornament Cover- DIY Jewelry Making Tutorial by PotomacBeads
This video tutorial from PotomacBeads shows you how to make a beaded Christmas ornament cover using your choice of seed beads and crystals. This is a great way to create unique holiday gifts in any color you wish! These covers simply slide over any standard ornament glass balls, so you can also use the color ball (or even clear) that will highlight the beads that you choose to use.

Materials Used To make The  Project

Quick Project Steps

Gather all materials and tools.
Cut a length of beading thread and thread the needle.
Start with a pattern of 3 beads of color A (green) and 1 bead of color B (red), repeating for 40 beads total to create the first row.
Form a circle by tying the ends of the thread, leaving minimal excess.
Proceed with subsequent rows, following the bead counts and patterns described in the video (7 beads for row 2, 9 beads for row 3, etc.).
Incorporate Preciosa beads and crystals in the final rows for decoration.
Finish the cover by tying off and gluing the thread ends.
Slide the cover over a Christmas ornament.
