EXPLORE MORE ABOUT THE SONOMA NECKLACE TUTORIAL
In this PotomacBeads tutorial you will learn how to create a pretty lariat necklace. Using basic beading techniques and plenty of seed beads from your stash, you’ll love the fun, casual look of the Sonoma Necklace.
1.Put two needles onto about 5 feet of .008 Wildfire beading thread. Pick up 12 seed beads and take one of the needles through the clasp. Criss-cross through another seed bead. This will form a loop to hold the grape leaf toggle. Make sure both ends of the thread are of equal length on the needles.
2.Watch the Sonoma Necklace tutorial to follow along with Allie as she guides you step-by-step through the process of creating her amazing beaded lariat necklace design. You will find inspiration to help you bead your own beautiful DIY jewelry design as you join in the beading fun.
3.String some smaller tassels onto the bottom loop of the clasp for a fuller look without adding extra weight around your neck. Tie off the thread and burn the loose edges with a thread zap.
You can have a lot of fun creating your own Sonoma Necklace. Great for all beading skill levels, the Sonoma necklace is also a good project to use up beads from your stash to create a unique, one-of-a-kind, piece of jewelry.
