 The Potomac Bead Company first opened to fill the market niche for high end, affordable, and customer-driven bead stores. By providing a creative environment and an emphasis on great pricing, selection, and customer service, the company has expanded to multiple locations in the United States and Europe. For a list of stores please click on the link. Every store provides an extensive selection of all components requisite for making one's own jewelry. This includes gemstones, glass, copper, sterling silver, crystals, findings, wire, tools, displays, books, and more. Beyond custom designing, and one of the largest selections of product available anywhere, the PBC staff provide customers with over 35 different classes for making an array of different styles of jewelry. The Potomac Bead Company custom designs jewelry for many customers, but is primarily interested in teaching, educating, and supplying a new generation of beaders capable of making beautiful unique jewelry and other bead-related projects. The stores are frequented not only by jewelry designers, but by fishermen, clothing designers, artists, sewers, non-profit organizations, and businesses.
The Potomac Bead Company also sells thousands of store's products online, so that customers that do not have a local PBC store  can shop from the comfort of their own home. The nature of our inventory is vast and constantly changing, so we cannot offer every product online. If possible, we encourage you to visit one of our stores to shop from the entire selection! Additionally, Potomac Bead Company provides several wholesale options for smaller bead stores and designers. The wholesale packages provide great pricing on select categories or items. As an importer, the stores import the large majority of products from around the world. Select individuals or stores can sign a wholesale application to be put on a mailing list for opportunities prior to large import orders. For any more information or to get a wholesale application, please contact us. Beyond wholesale, special offers are made to small customers as well. Volume discounting offers 5% off any purchase of $100 or more, 15% off any purchase of $250 or more, and 20% off of any purchase of $500 or more. To receive this discount in the store, just mention it. Call for details on purchases in excess of $1000.
